Coachella Festival
Held in the desert in Indio, California, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an international cultural institution. Also, a music and fashion epicenter since it began in 1999, Coachella is one of the most famous music festivals in decades. The festival is famous for its massive art installations and mix of artists, making it a paradise on earth for music fans.
Among the lineup, you could watch some of the biggest music stars from the present music scene, like Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone.
For two weekends (April 11-13 and April 18-20, 2025), you can buy festival passes starting from $649 and $549, respectively. I know, it’s not for every wallet, but once you’ve attended this legendary festival, you won’t be able to imagine life without it. The official Coachella website is the place to buy passes.
Lollapalooza Brazil
Let’s head down to the American continent to São Paulo, home to the Brazilian version of Lollapalooza, another much-loved music festival. From its origins in the US in 1991, Lollapalooza was held in Brazil for the first time in 2012 and became a cult event in South America. It’s a festival with a diverse and fun vibe, complemented by an international line-up.
This year’s lineup features Caribou, Foster the People, and Sepultura between March 28-30, 2025. General admission tickets are around $270 and are available through the Lollapalooza Brazil official website. Prepare for an unforgettable time on the Interlagos Circuit.
Byron Bay Bluesfest
The Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia is a cultural event. It was launched in 1990 and is now the nation’s biggest blues and roots music festival. Its low-key attitude and spectacular nature make Bluesfest a must-visit for soulful, live music fans. This will be its last edition, 2025 — the sweet ending to a 35-year tradition.
Xavier Rudd, John Butler, and The Cat Empire will be playing on the weekend of April 17-20. You can purchase a one-day ticket for $210, for example, or a three-day ticket for $440. Check the official Bluesfest website for more information on ticket prices.
Primavera Sound Porto
At Primavera Sound Porto, on Porto’s wounderfull coastline, you will find the perfect musical break. It is a cousin of the classic Barcelona festival but has created its own space since it began in 2012….and yes, much more cheaper.
This year, the festival runs from June 12-15, 2025, and is going to feature such names as TV On The Radio, Destroyer, and Deftones. Tickets are $160 for a 4 day experience, and are available at the Primavera Sound official website. When in Porto, don’t forget to try the local cuisine and visit the historic sites of the city, one of the most beautiful cities from the old continente.
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
Tenderfooted, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival celebrates the city’s distinctive culture and music. From jazz and blues to rock and R&B, Jazz Fest is now a two-weekend celebration that dates back to 1970. The food festival is just as much a music festival as it is a food festival with a host of Creole and Cajun food.
At the time of writing this article, tickets are not yet on sale, and the site currently features the following headline: “Tickets to the 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell will go on sale in conjunction with the talent announcement in mid January.“
What we do know is that the festival will take place in the heart of spring over two consecutive weekends, scheduled for April 24-27 and May 1-4. We eagerly await the lineup announcement for this edition, especially after the 2024 edition featured names like Foo Fighters, Neil Young, The Killers, and for those who were fortunate to witness the epic performance of “House Of The Rising Sun” performed by Mumford & Sons featuring Celisse and Trombone Shorty.
