No other musical artist has been as extensively explored as Jimi Hendrix. Over 50 years after his death, the number of releases from his incredible catalog, both official and bootleg, has been countless. This year, we recently saw the release of a Jimi Hendrix box set featuring 38 unreleased tracks, ‘Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision.’

This time, the news is that unreleased songs by Jimi Hendrix are part of a collection of memorabilia from the late artist that will be auctioned next month.

Propstore, the entertainment memorabilia vendor organizing the event, states that this auction presents a unique opportunity for fans to bid on various personal items that provide insight into Hendrix’s musical career and his life outside of the stage.

The collection includes 50 rare tapes featuring master recordings that contain previously unheard tracks. Additionally, it encompasses personal documents such as payslips for both him and his band members, a handwritten request for his birth certificate, dry-cleaning receipts, and tour itineraries.

Three unreleased demos—“Up From the Skies,” “Ain’t No Telling,” and “Little Miss Lover”—are tracks from the Experience’s second album, ‘Axis: Bold as Love.’ “Stone Free,” also unreleased, served as the B-side to “Hey Joe, which was Hendrix’s inaugural UK single released in 1966.

Mark Hochnam, the Music and Poster consultant at Propstore, stated in a press release: “When we first had the opportunity to explore this archive, we were immediately captivated by the depth and significance of the material.

It’s an incredible collection that not only reflects the personal life of Jimi Hendrix but also transports you back to a pivotal moment in music history,” he noted.

The collection originates from Patricia “Trixie” Sullivan’s archive. As Propstar reported, Sullivan collaborated closely with Hendrix’s manager, Mike Jeffery.

According to information on Propstar’s website, a live-streamed auction in London is scheduled for November 15. The auction will feature over 400 lots of music memorabilia.

Jimi Hendrix’s career as a performing artist spanned only four years, beginning in the late 1960s and tragically ending with his overdose at the age of 27 in 1970. Despite this short period, Hendrix became one of the most celebrated musicians of his time, blending rock, soul, blues, and jazz into powerful songs that changed the direction of popular music.

The skilled guitarist and engaging performer was first noticed in a small club in New York City before moving to England in 1966, where he quickly gained fame. By the end of that year, his band, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, had released the hit single “Hey Joe,” followed by their debut album ‘Are You Experienced‘ the following year.

Jimi Hendrix’s groundbreaking guitar techniques, incorporating feedback, distortion, and the wah-wah pedal, set him apart from other players. His albums, such as ‘Axis: Bold as Love‘ and ‘Electric Ladyland,’ highlighted his guitar genius, mixing bold rock sounds with soulful melodies and studio experimentation.
