For many, himself included, Kanye West is godlike. In fact, just earlier in the year The Book of Yeezus was released, reciting the works of Genesis and replacing God’s name to Kanye’s in every mention. He’s claimed to be more influential than the Lord, and even has a song entitled I Am a God.
And now, with his wife Kim Kardashian heavily pregnant, it has been revealed the due date could be Christmas Day, the birthday of the Lord’s son, Jesus Christ.
There has been a lot of rumours circulating as to what the name of Kimye’s latest child will be named, with Easton being number one amongst the bookies. There’s been talk of the pair also choosing a royal name, which have become hugely popular and making up a number of the most popular baby names, whilst with Kanye already seeing himself as some form of God, he could have the perfect name already in Jesus.
The name, which originates from the Latin form of the Greek name Iesous, is popular in Hispanic countries, particularly in Mexico to honour the Christian figure, and would we be surprised if West decided to go the same way?
Arguably not.
However, a recent interview with Ellen Degeneres, did give a hint Kim particularly would be more inclined to choose the name Easton.
“I do like the name Easton, but I don’t think Kanye likes Easton, I’m not sure,” she told the chat show host, adding that her new son certainly won’t be named South or any other direction.
We still have a few months to go before we welcome a new member of the West family, but we really hope they go down the biblical route and welcome a new Jesus on Christmas Day. Mainly so when he makes his first steps, the rap star can blast out Jesus Walks when he does.
