August 19th of 2014: The Gaslight Anthem will return! Their new album, ‘Get Hurt’, is the fifth LP and follows 2012′s ‘Handwritten’. The group announced the news on their Facebook page earlier yesterday.
Recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville alongside producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Foals), ‘Get Hurt’ will be a turning point for the band, according to frontman Brian Fallon : ‘completely different than anything we had ever done before…Instead of going that extra step of just adding some organ or some background vocals, this time we actually really changed up a lot of the sounds’
Remember that ‘Handwritten’ gave Gaslight Anthem their first Top 10 album when it debuted at No. 3.
