AC/DC as all you know are an Australian Hard Rock band, formed by Young brothers, Angus and Malcolm. They were one of the most influential hard rock sounds of the ’70s, and rose to fame with such great albums as ‘High Voltage’ (76), ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ of the same year, ‘Let There Be Rock’ (77) and especially ‘Highway To Hell’ (79).
The road to fame was almost stopped when Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980. The official coroner’s report stated he had ‘drunk himself to death.’ The heart and the howl of AC/DC was replaced with Brian Johnson one month later and the band begun recorded ‘Back in Black’ (80), which would prove to be its biggest album, selling over ten million copies in the U.S. alone.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2003, Bon Scott did not live to see the millions who joined AC/DC even today, but as Angus Young once said: ‘I’m sure if it had been on of us, Bon would have done the same.’
