50 Album Covers up for the best art artwork award. Daft Punk, Queens of the Stone Age, Paul McCartney and Atoms for Peace between the nominees.
The Album Covers of the 50 nominees for the award will be on display in various expositions throughout Europe, where the public will be invited to vote for their favorite, and eventually decide the winner ( if you still feel attracted to a beautiful artwork, to the point of this influencing the purchase of a certain album, you will certainly vote). The exhibition will run until the end of January next year.
Best Art Vinyl founder Andrew Heeps said in a statement: ‘For the past eight years we have celebrated the artistic value of record covers through the award, enabling us to get a snapshot of public opinion on record sleeve art.’
