PJ Harvey new song ‘Shaker Aamer’ for streaming

In the past weekend, PJ Harvey has released a new original track titled ‘Shaker Aamer’. This song has an appeal to the release of the prisoner at Guantanamo, Shaker Aamer, he  is the only British citizen still held in the  American prison. Despite having been declared innocent by the Presidents of the United States, George W. Bush (in 2007) and Barack Obama (in 2009), Shaker Aamer is held at Guantanamo Bay since 2001 without legal prosecution and without having lawful right to defense.

The new song by PJ Harvey cross the lines of what we heard in ‘Let England Shake’, a sound between indie rock and folk,  and we can hear Polly singing:

‘No water for three days/I cannot sleep, or stay awake/Four months hunger strike/Am I dead, or am I alive?’<blockquote
