Arcade Fire announce release date for new album to October 29.
Arcade Fire announced to the world, and to a fan in particular, the release date for the new album for late October. It had previously been reported that the new album (the band’s follow-up to 2010’s ‘The Suburbs‘), would be released on September 9. Little else is known about the album at this moment, but is expected the participation of James Murphy as a producer of some songs, and one of the tracks is titled ‘Les Identiks’, as played in the band’s live show in Montreal in December last year.
James Murphy told to the Daily Star:
‘The album is going great. I’m too in the middle of it to know which way it will go in the end. But it’s going to be a fantastic record….They are so good they could produce themselves, so my role in the band depends on the song. Sometimes I’m going around making suggestions and playing instruments, other times I’m just helping the arrangements. We feel like part of each other’s bands because we toured a lot together over the years.’
