The National announce new album for May 2013.
The National have announced the release of a new album (via Twitter), of originals for the next month of May. Although without release date and title defined, it is known that 4AD will be responsible for the release. The sixth album from the Americans arrive soon and will succeed the acclaimed High Violet from 2010 (The album debuted at # 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and has sold over 250,000 copies in the U.S. and 600,000 copies worldwide.
In an interview for Uncut, the group characterized the new album as ‘emotional, visceral and immediate’. The edition of this album will be accompanied by a tour during the summer, and already has beenannounced dates together with Dirty Projectors.
At this time are known some themes that will be part of of the new album, and have already been played live, songs like , Sullivan, Prime, Lola, I Need My Girl and Rylan and can be heard here.
