U2 Announce New Album for April 2014


Last month U2 released ‘Ordinary Love’ their first song since 2009,  now details have emerged about the band ‘s new album , slated for release in April . As publish here a month ago , U2 will release a new original work for spring 2014 , the official announcement of the successor of ‘No Line on the Horizon’ should be done during the Super Bowl in February. The news is advanced by Billboard .

The Irish band is working on new material since 2011 and has been in theNew Yorker Electric Lady studio with producer Danger Mouse, Guy Oseary. Paul McGuinness, confirmed to the New York Times his removal. ‘It could be seen the poor etiquette for a manager to retire before his artist has split, quit or died’, and added ‘As I approach the age of 64 , I have resolved to take a less hands-on role to the band embarks on the next cycle of Their extraordinary career.’ The 64 years old Irish was with the band for 34 years since the band formed in Dublin.

Bassist Adam Clayton said in an interview on Irish radio last month that the new songs are ‘a kind of return to the old days, but with maturity, if you will, of  U2 for the last 10 years’.

Is confirmed by the news that Live Nation wants to acquire the business empire of Madonna and U2. In the meantime, The group has previously Announced the Nov. 29 for the release of a new song called ‘Ordinary Love’ for Black Friday’s Record Store Day. The track is part of a new biopic, ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.’.

 

UPDATE: U2 New Album Delayed Until 2015, the postponement is due to the tight schedule of the band, said Billboard Magazine.

 

2 is preparing to release its thirteenth album, which is tentatively due out in April, according to Billboard. The band and its management has been shopping for partners to help announce the album via a Super Bowl commercial (Feb. 2, 2014).

Earlier this year, bassist Adam Clayton said U2 was planning to release the new album this fall. “We have an abundance of riches, we could make three or four different records and justify that to ourselves,” Clayton said.

Here’s what we already know about the new album: It was produced and mixed by Danger Mouse, it was primarily recorded over the summer at New York’s Electric Lady Studios and Coldplay’s Chris Martin hung out during the recording, although it’s not yet known if he appears on the album. The new album will be U2’s follow up to 2009’s “No Line On The Horizon.”
On Record Store Day Black Friday (Nov. 29), U2 will release a 10″ record with new song “Ordinary Love” and a new version of its track “Breathe,” which was originally released on “No Line On The Horizon.”
