Rolling Stones 2014 Tour : Australian and New Zealand Postponed
The Monday death of fashion designer L’Wren Scott, Mick Jagger’s longtime girlfriend, has led the Rolling Stones to postpone all seven concerts on the band’s tour of Australia and New Zealand, which was scheduled to begin Wednesday.
Postponed shows include the Perth Arena (March 19), Adelaide Oval (March 22), Sydney Allphones Arena (March 25), Melbourne Rod Laver Arena (March 28), Macedon Ranges Hanging Rock (March 30), Brisbane Entertainment Centre (April 2), and Auckland Mt Smart Stadium (April 5).
L’Wren Scott, 49, was found dead in his apartment in Manhattan. The authorities are investigating the case suspecting of suicide since Scott came to face financial problems. Mick Jagger said goodbye in a touching letter where he pays tribute to L’Wren Scott: ‘We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me…I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her.’
Scott and Jagger, who was 21 years older, had been dating for 12 years.
